Spotlight - Marianne Parker

With a desire to spotlight some of the amazing Indexers of our Stake, I thought, 'why not start with the absolute, hands-down, no-competition, top Indexer in the Stake?'

Sister Marianne Parker of the Pleasant View 9th Ward meets this measure in 2011, but was also our top Stake Indexer in 2010. We have Arbitrators who exceed her numbers (future spotlight victims), but Marianne actually Indexed more records in the last two years than anyone else in the nine wards of our Stake.

Marianne started indexing in June 2009 and in the last half of that year, completed over 22,000 names.  She did an amazing 88,000 records in 2010, and is currently just over 37,000 records.

In addition to Indexing, Sister Parker is a math teacher at Weber High School and holds both Stake and Ward Scouting positions.  She is the 11-year-old Scout Leader in the Ninth Ward and is in charge the Eagle Scout Projects for our Stake.  One of my sons remembers her as his Ski Instructor at Snow Basin back when he was in grade school.

Thank you, Sister Parker, for the tremendous work you are doing as an Indexer and also in your family, the school, Ward, Stake and community.
