An Event

Linda Christiansen of the 2nd Ward contacted me with some helpful information for those Indexing and Arbitrating marriage certificates which include the image of a front page showing the filing date for the certificate.

Linda had Indexed quite a number of these batches and had looked at the Project Information to learn how to properly record these pages when the actual marriage certificate showing the wedding date was the next image in the batch.  The information didn't answer her question so she contacted support where she learned that these cover pages with the bride's and groom's names and the FILING Date should also be Indexed (Not Marked as No Extractable Data) and the date shown should be listed as the EVENT DATE. 

So filing constitutes an EVENT.  Isn't that good to know?
