The first half of this year, our Stake was taking about 15 days to complete 100,000 records...that was back when we had the 1930 US Federal Census Forms we were all working on. Now that we have finished those, and these new projects take more time and effort to complete, it is taking us a little longer to pass each 100,000 milestone.
We passed our first million of the year on June 10. August 17 was the day we hit 1.2 million. Those 100,000 names took us 68 days to complete...a bit longer than our old 15 day average.
The good news is good. We are working more accurately, we are completing more valuable records, and we have 83 stake members who have participated in Indexing in this third quarter of 2011. The bad new isn't bad. We add records every day, every name indexed is another of God's children who has a chance of being found and having their work done by their descendants, and we still have three and a half months to the end of the year to see how much we can accomplish.
